Veronique found Pilates through a back injury and quickly became a fanatic. Now 19 years experience in the practice of Pilates has led her to owning her own studio and continuing her education with BASI, a world renowned pilates Institute. Veronique’s hope is to bring a community based studio, offering smaller class sizes (max 7) that are accessible to all and seen as a clients highlight to their day. Her classes focus on the importance of postural alignment, the body’s powerhouse (the core), breath and the graceful, intuitive and challenging nature of Pilates. With a belief that enjoying exercise is fundamental to progress, her classes offer a full body work out that are fun and challenging for all levels to enjoy.

Have been doing Pilates for approximately 7 years, originally to assist in strengthening for my KokodaTrek, however I didn’t realise just how great it was for my body until I got back and really started enjoying it. So much so that I did my Platinum Certification through Studio Pilates covering all equipment used in many forms of the pilates repertoire.
I have been teaching for 5 years, and as a person with MS the benefits of pilates and it’s modalities has seen me since complete a Diploma in Pilates Movement Therapy, attend Pilates for Neurological Conditions I and II which is a focus on MS, Parkinsons and Stroke, and am currently 1/2 way through my Level 1 certification of Applied Movement Neurology which is about the role our brains play in movement, and also 1/2 way through a Certification on Muscle Energy Technique.
You could say I like to study….. But I definitely prefer seeing the human body move, teaching it to move in a more natural way and keeping the spine (and everything else) healthy!
